Organization Description : The African American Advisory Alliance (Pomona 4As) is a Black led, community based organization dedicated to elevating the Black experience and strengthening the social, economic, cultural, and civic life of Black residents in Pomona and the surrounding region. Proudly by Black people, for Black people, the Alliance creates a welcoming space where Black residents can connect, celebrate culture, access resources, support local businesses and artists, and have a voice in shaping their community. Through community conversations, health and wellness initiatives, economic empowerment programs, arts and cultural programming, youth celebrations, and community events, the Alliance is building a Black community ecosystem that creates opportunities for connection, visibility, learning, and collective growth. While centered on the Black community, the Alliance also welcomes opportunities for the broader community to engage, learn about Black culture and experiences, and build meaningful relationships across communities.
