Organization Description : At Essential Access Health, we believe that full autonomy over our sexuality, gender identity, and when and if to be pregnant or have children is a fundamental human right. Having the resources and freedom to make personal decisions about our sexual and reproductive health is an essential and foundational component of individual, family, and community health. Who you are, where you live, how much money you have, or who you love should not determine if and how you can access the care you want and need. Structural barriers, racism, and the stigmatization and politicization of sexual and reproductive health have separated these essential services from primary care and created systemic inequities in access and health outcomes. Essential Access Health advances sexual and reproductive health equity through a multi-disciplinary approach that expands options and pathways for accessing high-quality, patient-centered care across the country. Through funding, advocacy, research, training providers and health care professionals, and youth and community empowerment and education, we aim to be a thoughtful and trusted partner who goes where we are needed to fill gaps, expand access, and improve quality of care. We prioritize the needs of patients who face the greatest barriers to care including people with lower-incomes, youth, communities of color, and individuals living in rural regions.
